While John Engler (the former Michigan Governor best known for saving the state, then the country, from poor single mothers by strong-arming them into fast-food wage slavery) and his colleague, American Axle CEO Dick Dauch (best known for threatening to move production to Mexico in order to extract union concessions before doing it anyway and pocketing the difference), gave speeches about how to fix the U.S. economy at the National Economic Summit (ticket price $1,495), attendees of the National People's Summit & Tent City rallied outside to voice their demands, perspectives and solutions.

Including:

- Jobs, healthcare, housing and education for all

- Moratorium on foreclosures, evictions and utility shutoffs

- Moratorium on layoffs, plant closings, pension thefts and union busting

- A job at a living wage as a basic right

- Stopping attacks on immigrants

- Stopping budget cuts and restoring social services funding

- Stopping tuition hikes and school closings

- Ending racism, sexism and anti-LGBT attacks

- Full rights for disabled people

- An end to police brutality

- Jobs not Jails for prisoners and ex-prisoners' rights

- Saving the natural environment and halting climate change

- Money for jobs and human needs, not war
