Argentina Hike
June 27, 2009 | West Columbia, South Carolina | Vetting explained
The 24 hour news cycle fed you the story.
South Carolina Republican Governor Mark Sanford "went on a hike" to the Appalachian Trail. This happened to be the same day as when the Annual Nudist Hike happened to be in the same place. Also, the South Carolina mountain trail is just as nice, reportedly. Can our governor not come up with a decent, plausible cover story. He should have said he was looking for the Allspark in the Pentagon.
Anyway, here's the real story as it happened.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
