An excerpt from a Shams-e Langaroodi poem about Neda, with its translation:
آه ندای عزیز من
گل سرخی که بر گلوی تو روییده بود
باز شد
گسترده شد
و نقشه ی ایران را در ترنم گلبرگ هایش فرو پوشانید
و اینانی که ندا داده اند
بلبلانند
میلیون ها تن که گرد گلی نشسته
و نام تو را می خوانند.
... Ah, my dear Neda
the red rose of your throat
blossomed
swelled
and engulfed in the song of its petals
the face of Iran.
And those who have heralded
are a million nightingales
circling a flower
singing your name...
