Abel from The Hollywood Walk of Fame
June 30, 2009 | Hollywood, California | Vetting explained
I had the pleasure of meeting Abel while photographing some of the Hollywood Walk of Fame Stars yesterday at Hollywood and Vine.
Due to my little camera I was only able to capture 30 second clips, so I'll have to fill in the blank spaces.
Abel has been coming down to Hollywood Boulevard for the last 10 years and he polishes the icons imbedded within the star. He pays for his supplies with tips from tourist. He has a very good sense of humor and he shares Hollywood trivia with people who stop and talk to him.
It takes him about five minutes to polish each star and the time varies as he can linger and converse with tourist from one star to the next.
He helped me locate Gale Storms "3 Hollywood Walk of Fame Stars" Please note link at the bottom of this iReport.
Abel is part of the Hollywood tradition, so if you visit The Hollywood Walk of Fame and see him working please stop to tell him hello.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
