Find something fun as exercise
June 30, 2009 | Kearney, Nebraska | Vetting explained
We are all hurrying around to make money, to pay the bills, so we can have fun toys or take time off work and do nothing, or whatever our 'thing' is. I got lucky and stepped into a vocation 30 plus years ago that has never been
'a job' for me. I remind myself daily how fortunate that was. I fly a corporate airplane out of Kearney, Nebraska for a group of 4 companies. They are all wonderful people and show their appreciation towards my efforts of 24-7 availability to them. When I do have time from the airplane, I ride the Cervelo P4. Often, that will take place in areas away from home base. I attempt to eat whole unprocessed foods, but I still enjoy some trash eating too! I have never had overweight issues, being blessed with fun activities in the horse world and finding bicycling as another fun outdoor activity. Most all of us have choices as to how much we want something or not. My motivation to stay physically active comes partly from seeing all the terribly overweight ones around us daily. I do enjoy movement and not being idle. If we try staying away from the tv more and finding something, most anything that will exert our body to sweating, our mind should stay more clear and less likely to cause difficulty for others. Let's all try and drink more water and try to stay away from so many highly processed foods. It is all just a habit we should try and get into. Then it will eventually become part of our lifestyle and not just something we do rarely.
