SPIRIT AIRLINES EMERGENCY
June 30, 2009 | daytone beach, Florida | Vetting explained
Spirit Airlines flight number 433 from Chigago (ORD)Ohare to Ft Lauderdale made an emergency landing at Daytona Beach (DBA)
after smoke filled the cabin(as per the cabin crew)The captain did not say a word thru out the emergency ot after it was over ,he never came on to the PA system to inform passengers everything was ok and under control especially after everything was over, they came out of the cockpit after everyone disembarked. The Daytona airport authority was extraordinary in taking care of the passengers, something that cant be said of Spirit Airlines as they compensated passengers with a measly 100 dollars(credit)
Airport personell in FLL did not inform waiting relatives as to the incident(there were approx 5 minors traveling alone.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
