Barkswell Animal Friendly Mountain Retreat -Staycation
June 1, 2008 | Fletcher, North Carolina | Vetting explained
Barkswell Mountain resort is an animal friendly retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
About twenty minutes from Asheville, North Carolina and Biltmore Estate and Gardens.
Asheville is a progressive city with many fine restaurants, from Mediterranean to down home cooking. Vegetarian eateries are abundant, as well as health food and organic shops. It is an art and antique collectors paradise.
The Barkswell Mountain Retreat is a 6.7 acre fenced haven for dogs to run free and visit with other canines. Individual fenced yards come with each cabin if you would like to get away and know your pooch is safe.
Each cabin has it's own hot tub and fireplace.
The lakes and ponds are fully stocked.
PicNic area with fire pit , grill and tables, is located next to the lake.
The beauty of the landscape is second to none.
This was an excellent choice for our family to staycation not far from home and take our furry friends along!
