Marijuana
July 2, 2009 | Saginaw, Michigan | Vetting explained
I was just looking at some things on this website and there are some things that I would really like to say. I hope that somebody will listen. I would just like to say that I really hope that one day every person that is fighting to make marijuana illegal can find a way to completely make marijuana illegal in this whole country. I hope that soon after they do this, they are diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and only have a couple of months to live. Then, when they are suffering, depressed, in agonizing pain, and losing 50 pounds due to their non-existent appetite, I am going to laugh at them. Why? Because if they hadn't pushed for what they "thought was the right thing", then they could be living a much fuller, happier life. No, marijuana may not fix everything and take away all their pain, but it damn sure would have helped. Maybe they could have kissed their daughters goodnight tonight instead of her standing by their bedside saying "Goodnight, I hope you feel better." They could have hugged her, and kissed her, and told her how much they loved her. But instead, they are forced to stay in bed due to the simple fact that they have no will to live and no strength to carry their own limbs. With medicinal use of marijuana this could have all been changed. I would just like to tell you this story. My grandfather, the best grandfather a person could ask for, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer with 2 months left to live when I was just 12 years old. I watched him, through the pain and suffering, go from the happiest man I've ever known, into a man that didn't even get excited when I walked through the door. Just imagine this, the person you love most in this world, doesn't smile at you when you run to them to give them a hug and a kiss. If my grandfather would have been able to receive medical marijuana, I know that those final weeks of his life would have been the greatest weeks of his life. My grandfather could have came to my 13th birthday to watch me blow out my candles. Instead, I had to watch my entire family, relatives and all, cry their eyes out because they had heard that my grandfather had just passed away during the party. So please, listen to somebody who knows and stop your "war" against legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes. Thank you.
