Paris...."The majority of animals abandoned are euthanised...To abandon is a crime"...a photo of a billboard which appeared on the streets of Paris this week.

Brigitte Bardot is the  founder of the organization established to protect animals and responsible for creating this campaign. It is an issue regarding the sad and ever-increasing phenomenon of people who abandon their pets...especially before summer vacation when pet-owners cannot or will not make the proper arrangements for the care of their pets while they go away on vacation...

There are more  pet dogs in Paris than children.  100,000 dogs and cats are abandoned each year  The number of pets abandoned since the financial crisis impacted has increased dramatically...estimated to have jumped about 50% during the last year.

Earlier today I spoke with Constance Cluset, the director of communications at the Brigitte Bardot Foundation here in Paris to explain the story I am posting here and to receive her authority to do so...

The video included in this post is my photography club "before/after" tribute to

all our pet -friends who rely upon us for their very survival.

In societies where the divorce rate is nearly 50%...spouses and children are regularily abandoned..what can we expect regarding the care of our animals?...

Feed them...Love them....and Never abandon them..!

Bon Appétit, YoYo. and all his friends...

Science Plan dog food + carrots...never any left-overs.

and yes, he is eating on a table and usually has excellent table manners except for a few bits of flying carrots and the occasional burp.
