iReport —

Japanese anime and manga fans invade Los Angeles during the 4th of July weekend for the North America's largest anime and manga convention, Anime Expo 2009, from July 2 July 5, 2009 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Ai Chérie a pop singer and host from CosplayTV.com is pictured with a Hello Kitty girl.

Cosplay is a Japanese term that combines Costume and Play and is becoming very popular all around the world.

Cosplayers spend a lot time time preparing their costumes to attend Conventions dressed as their favorite character from anime, comic books (manga), films, television, and videogames. These conventions allow Cosplayers to gather together and interact with other like minded individuals while shopping at convention for merchandise and fashion based on their favorite characters.
