Helicopter rescue of a mountain biker in Fairfax CA

A mountain biker crashed on the trails at Camp Tamarancho in Fairfax CA this afternoon. He was airlifted out by the CHP and the local Ross Valley Fire Department.
Ross Valley Fire Department arrived on the scene first and stabilized the injured biker and prepared him for flight.
Flight Officer Greg Norrgard and pilot Jason Hertzell flew the CHP helicopter above the injured mountain biker and pulled him up. They then transported him to an ambulance. A local mountain biker and nurse Colleen Carnathan was riding the trails and was able to give assistance until the FD and CHP arrived.
