July 4th parade float - "Slots O' Fun - Millions served, trillions spent"
July 4, 2009 | Boyne City, Michigan | Vetting explained
This tongue-in-cheek politically themed entry was the highlight of today’s 4th of July Parade in Boyne City, Michigan – a “Slots O’ Fun” float by local real estate agent Marty Moody and friends. Moody is the “lady” wearing a pink dress. He and another lady feed money into the Slots O’Fun, whose slogan is “Millions served, trillions spent - We make cents of your dollars!” The slot machine’s “Select a bet” choices are “Billion, Killion, Yikes!” The first time they pull the slot machine arm they get three lemons. They take a drink, feed in more money and the slot machine comes up YOU … ARE …. and a picture of a screw. They try again and it comes up “AIG, GM and GEEZ!” The back end of the float features two fat cats surrounded by bags of money beneath a sign that says “National Bailout Corp. - Win a GM (the company, not the car!).” Video submitted by Jim Baumann, the local Chamber of Commerce director.
