London remembers Michael Jackson
July 7, 2009 | london | Vetting explained
As I was walking home last night I took these shots from the Lyric Theater in London where the Thriller musical is playing. I wasn't really intending to share them except I just finished watching his memorial service and was moved by how rare I think his legacy is. I don't think I have ever witnessed an artist that could truly unite the globe. I may never again.
I have been reflecting all this week on what an impact on history this man has made in such a short life. There were ground breaking, game changing impacts and there were just personal impacts that only each of us know. But they all centered around his immense talent and his music.
There were tributes here in English, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, from little children and adults. Everyone seems to have a favorite memory.
