Festivities in The Netherlands to celebrate a 400 year old relationship. In 1609 a Dutch ship discovered Manhattan. Since then there are a lot of ties between the Netherlands and the United States of America. This year, 2009, is the memorial year. One of the activities is the American Day in the city of Vlissingen. A report about past and present.
