iReport —

Actions of deposed leader Manuel (MEL) Zelaya are called irresponsible by international community and predictably lead to continued bloodshed in Honduras.  While tens of thousands protest peacefully in favor of the new government in the city of San Pedro Sula, several hundred pro-zelaya demonstrators turn violent as police enforce a curfew along the southern border of Honduras and Nicaragua. Zelaya's recent actions along the Honduras-Nicaragua border crossing of Los Manos are theatrical and incitefully dangerous, a potentially lethal combination as the standoff continues. A large majority of the Honduran population supports the new government as witnessed by massive peaceful demonstrations throughout the country. The pro-Zelaya demonstrations are significantly smaller and marked by violence, vandalism and destruction of both public and private property. Favorite targets of the pro-Zelaya demonstrators are government buildings, historic churches, and most internationally branded businesses like hotels, banks and restaurants.
