American Health Care Nightmare!
July 28, 2009 | Vetting explained
American Health care nightmare! As European resident in the United States, I express my anger at the American health care. After marrying an American citizen we have a child in the U.S.. Never in my life was I so badly treated, humiliated and harassed for money. The first doctor I was recommended by one of the best hospitals in the U.S. put my life in danger because the only thing that interested him was money. Thought he had found another doctor with more respect in Beberly Hills. I was eight month pregnant the doctor's accounting yelled at me out because they wanted the money in advance of delivery. they put me in such stress that the same weekend I was in labor.
The hospital for which we pay 4500 dollars was old, dirty and it is considered one of the best in USA.
The hospital in the corner of my house in Spain was more clean, and prepared this new American relic. If the hospital did not have enough time to call me from giving birth and asked for money upfront.
What a shame!
I am not afraid of the terrorist, i am afraid of the torture i was exposed by the insurances and doctors.
How American citizens have allowed themselves to be duped in this way. American people deserved better. Stop with the lies. In Europe we don,t pay more taxes. We just get more for our money.
In Spain or England we receive humane treatment, with doctors who treat us with respect and care. They don,t torture me not paying my bills in case my 4 months year old baby have a precondition . In Europe we choose our doctors because you can choose between Universal health care or a private insurance very affordable thats covers 100% without deductibles ........The hospitals are clean and modern.
I never got so little and pay so much for health care in my life.
UUEE you are great country and health care should be a right.
Spend the money in saving life's.
I apologize if my english is not perfect!!!
