Shadows in the clouds
July 30, 2009 | Ridgecrest, California | Vetting explained
In what appears to be an upside down Jacobs Ladder, the upper atmosphere in this photo shows signs of shadows from "something". I'm guessing the shadows were cast from storm tops over the Pacific ocean, onto the bottoms of higher cirrus type clouds. The shadows were to far away and to high to be cast from mountains. The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
