Flash Flood in Bloomington Indiana June 04, 2008
June 4, 2008 | Bloomington, Indiana | Vetting explained
These pictures are of three streets in Bloomington, IN after a flash flood between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. on June 4th 2008. We have had a lot of ran over the past few days, but I have never seen it flood like this before. I took these pictures after leaving work. They are of the surrounding streets around my job. The first set of the images are of a local grocery store called the Sahara Mart on 2nd St. There was a car completely flooded outside of it and the flood waters were entering the store. The fourth picture is of South Washington St. The street starting to flood over the sidewalks. The last set of images are of the entrance to the local Boys and Girls club in which the road and all of the cars in front of it are under water. There were still children inside of the Boys and Girls Club waiting to be picked up by their parents at this time.
