iReport —

Sunday was day 19 of the open-ended hunger strike in front of the White House and members of the Iranian-American community, organized by the US Committee for Camp Ashraf Residents (usccar.org), are still going strong. They are organized in hopes that the White House, the UN, or Members on the Hill will address their cries and intervene in the violence at Camp Ashraf in Iraq.

Will they be answered?

Time will tell. But as one organizer told me, more than 30 Members of the House and just today, 5 members of the Senate, have signed a joint statement condeming the violence by the Iraqi forces on the "protected persons" inside the camp. Some might see that as a start.
