iReport —

Marc Sims is a public access talk show host.

Alma Sokoya is a third-grade teacher of some of Chicago's most gifted students.

But the two have conflicting views about the source of the city's violence problem. One blames the parents, while the other wants people to reach out to those who influence children the most.

This is Part 1 of a two-part iReport series from Zack Isaacs.

Focus more on Mr. Sims and Mrs. Sokoya than some of the technical problems in the video, please. ;)

Part 2 is on the way.
