Airlines here in my country offers very attractive, too-good-to-be-true promotions of airfare. Imagine I coud buy a ticket ( 1hour flight for an airbus) that would only cost $6.55!@? Whatta!!!

Flyers, advertisements, are everywhere, luring passengers to take advantage of the promotion but gees, we all know that fuel prices have sky-rocketted.

I called up the airline to book a flight as the airline said that if passengers book days before the scheduled flight can enjoy the TEMPTING $6.55 promo rate. When I spoke with the agent on the phone and booked for a round-trip (1 hour flight each trip on airbus) the agent said including taxes and whatever fees they call it, the supposedly $14.00 round-trip I expected costs me $ 122.27.... I was shocked. it couldn't be that much. Yes, if we consider taxes but since it's a promo rate it should at least half of that. What is promo for? Folling passengers around? There is no difference in buying tickets on regular rate. This is insane. What the management is thinking? Is the management that too disperate to catch up with the competion? To attract and fool passengers to book flights in their airlines and not on other more convenient and honest airlines?

I am just very disappointed and I hate to see this kind of advertisement because I am spending so much money fly back and forth from Manila to Cebu every 2 weeks just to see my wife and daughter as I am based in Manila.

There's this airline also, a competitor of this promo-crazy airline I talked about offers a mileage program. I earned thousands of miles already that even exceeded to qualify for a free-round trip as they promised. When I called up the airline office to use my mileage and get a free round-trip ticket Manila-Cebu-Manila, the agent told me I can use my mileage but I have to pay taxes equivalent to $143.18. Whatta!

Goodness! What I did was get the regular rate and I was able to book a round-trip ticket for only $ 122. Rediculous lieage promotion. These airlines are very manipulative and are dishonest to their passengers. Their priority is always the money they devoured from us. And they fool people, lure people to get mileage, to fly in their airlines, after-all everything's just the same. No mileage to get free flights, no promo to get big discounts. NOTHING.

Gees! I am just wondering if this is true with other airlines in your state or country.
