Ugly Betty Takes Over Broadway
August 27, 2009 | New York, New York | Vetting explained
New York is always ready to give you an unexpected ride. Yesterday morning I got off the number 1 on the way to work and ran into cables, lights, cameras and action. A scene of Ugly Betty was being taped right on 41st and Broadway. Crews took over both sidewalks and part of the pedestrian mall that runs down Broadway creating a fun commuter mess. The show's star, America Ferrera, was dressed as a hot dog and the scene I saw involved her trying to get into a yellow cab wearing the costume.
New York City is one of the nation's top movie and TV show real-life studios.
Here are some pics of Betty, the crews, and some very Upper East Side looking extras sitting on Broadway.
You gotta love NY!
