Students Commemorate Anniversary of the 1963 Bombing of 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL

Students at North Atlanta High School in Atlanta, GA completed a mini-unit today by commemorating the
46th Anniversary of the 1963 bombing of Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Over 100 white balloons were released to honor the historical legacy and to acknowledge the senseless death of four little girls: Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, Cynthia Wesley, and Addie Mae Collins. The students at North Atlanta High School are making a journey to change by replacing HATE with HOPE as our nation and the world strive to achieve harmony.
