iReport —

Well, darkness is upon us in Grand Rapids and day three is a wrap.  It looks like the head will have to wait for tomorrow but much has been accomplished.  Through the process the team learned that PVC (which is being used as the frame of the body) is not quite as pliable as it is in Sweden.  As a result the head took a little longer to shape than was planned.  Matt Richards reported today live from the scene to Teresa Holmberg via Skype "The PVC was very, very hard to get into the head, but Ted Lott, Greg Metz and Bryan Huizenga made it work under Hakan’s direction."

The team worked hard and fast but paid attention to detail to make the artist, Jonathan Haner's vision a reality.  When the stuffing is shaped properly tomorrow the head will be hoisted and fastened, pictures will be posted as soon as this happens.  Until then, Grand Rapids has a giant headless baby watching over the city.

Remember to pay the artist's page a visit at www.artprize.org/artist/id/185 and www.jonathanhaner.com
