Adidas and Puma "to become friends again"
September 18, 2009 | Hamburg, Germany | Vetting explained
In 1920's Germany, 2 brothers started making sportswear.
One brother called his company "Adidas", the orher brother chose "Puma".
However, during World War 2, the brothers fell out with each other - and never spoke to each other again.
Even now, their vilalge is divided - you either work for one cpmpnay or the other.
However as iReporter Alun Hill explains, at last the 2 sides are to become friends, with a football match planned.
Presumably, each side will wear their own shoes!
