Santa Barbara spends more money to fight fires
September 18, 2009 | santa barbara, California | Vetting explained
No, whatever you do, don't cut down or trim the trees for god's sake, just sprinkle some Hydromulch on the ground (good for a year) and see if it helps with the next big fire or rain issue. This is one of many planes now dropping expensive sponges on our soil, obstensibly for run-off control. The last attempt at this was botched.
Please, could someone explain how our normally "rational" little town has grown to worship the sacred "tree" so much that it trumps human life itself?

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
