From a Teen's Perspective: Family feels effects of recession: Interview
September 26, 2009 | Baxley, Georgia | Vetting explained
NOTE: The carter family gave permission for their teenage daughter to partake in this interview, and also gave permission to post this video for the possible use of CNN.
Shannons family is having to move two hours away from New York City from a small town, Baxley, Georgia, simply because there is no job offers here. There are VERY few help wanted signs here. Shannon's aunt says that in New York there is more job opportunity. We wish her family the best, and they will be missed here in Georgia. Shannon and her family's story shows that this recession is not over. When there are so many jobless americans...the recession is not over for us.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
