Denied Medicaid, I made too much money!
September 26, 2009 | Morrisville, North Carolina | Vetting explained
Received the notice in the mail today. After contributing to these programs thru taxes (a lot!) I was denied Medicaid for myself and my two kids. I am going to appeal and am arming myself with bills and such but I know it will come down to some arcane formula that I won't see the relevance of. I've been working steady for 32 years and used to cluck my tongue at the unemployed, food stamp carrying, Medicaid using rabble. How quick my fortune has changed and how useless many of these programs are. The only way I would qualify for Medicaid is to NOT qualify for unemployment. So sad. Ok rants over, put your blinders back on!

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
