Typhoon Ondoy
September 27, 2009 | Quezon City, Philippines | Vetting explained
Never in the history of our village has this kind of flooding been experienced nor recorded. On the street where I live, the waters reached around 6 ft. On the street parallel to mine, cars were literally lifted up from the streets by the raging waters, dragged and all piled up at the village center in front our chapel. SUVS and trucks were not spared and were found on their sides or upside down.
People were left shocked as they wandered the streets to observe the devastation the following day.
A month long worth of rain was poured in just a day, according to reports.
