Ger-Mexican American Kids
October 6, 2009 | Sacramento, California | Vetting explained
My kids, like Soledad, are the future face of America. My wife's parents are immigrants from Mexico, my father is an immigrant from Germany, and my mom is 3rd generation Irish and French. While my kids will be raised to celebrate the richness of all their ethnic heritages, they will always be proud to call themselves Americans.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
