Returned mail: delivery problems encountered.

AT&T Servers vs. Hotmail Servers

postmaster@isp.att.net

Users of AT&T internet services that use the mail.att.net outgoing server are registering a rejection from the Hotmail server. All the e-mail send from an Internet access via AT&T to Hotmail accounts are rejected.

Please contact your  AT&T/Bellsouth technical support.

E-mail it's a very important tool in conducting business and social activities: maybe you can loose an important message, an order, or simply you cannot make a sale. Today we are totally dependent on emails traffic.

Read carefully the message you receive back from your ISP.Read all the returned mail.

Here you have a sample of the return message: The following addresses had delivery problems: Permanent Failure: MAIL FROM: 550 REPLY: 550_SC-001_Mail_rejected_by_Windows_Live_Hotmail_for_policy_reasons._Reasons_

for_rejection_may_be_related_to_content_with_spam-caracteristics_or_IP/domain_reputation_problems._If_you_are_not_an_

If you work with Microsoft Outlook, what you can do mean time is to re-route your outgoing e-mails (destined to a Hotmail account holder) to another ISP and they will send your emails to Hotmail.

You can receive from Hormail, but you cannot send out to Hotmail.

As well you can work from the proper Hotmail/Windows Live Messenger panel, work from the proper ATT e-mail panel, work with a Blackberry account or another ISP outgoing server.

As well, for every outgoing mail that you send to Hotmail, request a returned confirmation that the mail was delivered. This is a feature that will enable you to receive the returned notice from postmaster@isp.att.net, that the email was not delivered and was rejected by Hotmail servers.

I think ATT executives are working in overdrive this problems that is causing a lot of problems to the ATT users and reverse, to Hotmail suscribers.

The ATT customer service ( 888-321-2375) it's very professional and they will answer all your concerns related to this small and obscure war (ATT Outgoing Mail Server vs. Hotmail Incoming Mail Server), but that affects us all.
