Staying Fit and Active Makes Me Feel Beautiful
October 9, 2009 | Salt Lake City, Utah | Vetting explained
I have always used fitness activities like biking, swimming, yoga, etc. and outdoor recreation activities like hiking, camping, etc. to make be feel fit, active and therefore, beautiful. Also, I always try to add new physical challenges to my life so that I continue to challenge myself cognitively and physically! Late in 2008 I started to take ballroom and latin dance lessons from Martin Skupinski, a professional dance instructor in Salt Lake City, UT. Martin and the other instructors recently took 15 of us students to our first competition, the Nevada Star Ball in Las Vegas. I competed in the Waltz, Fox Trot, Tango and Viennese Waltz. The dance training is a magnificent form of exercise that is fun and social, as well.
Now that I am 57 years old I consider myself a dancer who has yet another positive activity in my life to keep me moving forward and feeling fantastic about myself.
