Warning that if elected Senator Barack Obama would "enact the single largest tax increase since the Second World War," Senator John McCain argued in a speech today that he would keep a steady hand on the economy, holding down taxes on individuals and corporations.

Mr. McCain said reducing the corporate tax rate would help make American businesses more competitive and prevent jobs from moving overseas. He also said that it is not enough to tweak the current tax code around the edges, and instead proposed "a vastly less complicated system" that would include two tax rates with a standard deduction.
This is my specialty. I love talking about economics. Although I am an engineer, I took three classes in economics plus business courses and wrote two papers for the Russian National Economic Conference at Vladimir State University in 1999 and 2000.
The United States Government has a need for a change. A bigger need for a change in taxes how they are collected and how they are spent.
My solution cannot be proven with anything, but I have ran simulations with this idea. Corporate taxes need to be eliminated completely. I know by law, a corporation is treated as an independent person, but they are a business. Who does the money go to if a corporation makes money? The owner, whether it is an individual, group of individuals, or stock holders. Eliminate all taxes on corporations.
Then as Obama has said, he would raise capital gains taxes. WHY??? Those taxes need to be eliminated also. Just as from the previous paragraph. The owner gets the profits, and the owner can pay the taxes to be withheld from the dividend. Just to keep the honest people honest.
Eliminate tax deductions also. All deductions do is create paperwork for individuals, and create the need for an IRS that is bloated more than it needs. How much money do we spend on the IRS to keep honest people honest?
For those having an income in the bottom 10 percentile of incomes, pay zero taxes. Those in the income between 10 and 50 percentile pay from 0 to 10% income tax which varies on where your income falls from the previous year. Those making above the median wage, pay all the taxes for the government to operate. The median salary for the entire country would be most likely gotten from two years pervious, because the previous year comes after January 1 of the year. Actually it might not even come at all during the year because tax day is April 15^th^, but if you only get a refund, you have up to three years to file, and if you have to make a change and amend your taxes, that would change the outcome also.
Taxes collected in this manner would always provide a surplus of over 20% if spending is kept in control.
The surplus is being kept in the economy, through payments of debt acquired by previous administrations or placed in the economy by purchase of stocks in a blind account. That is if the Congress allows surplus money of the government to be placed in something other than the best securities, which the government has said it is US treasury notes. So most of the debt the government owns is owned by Social Security in the trust.
That is another subject that this President will have to tackle is the Social Security Trust and how to get money in the trust. The government has no money, but has a lot of debt.
Ronald Reagan was the hero of the economy, with what Candidate George H. W. Bush called Voodoo economics, Supply side economics. They worked on a trickledown theory, which is good, for those at the top. This is a trickle up theory, which is better for the overall economy.
What will those below the median salary spend their money on? Necessities such as food, housing, transportation, utilities. Now they will have a little more extra money, what will they spend their money on? Very simply on luxuries, retirement savings or other investments which means more money flowing in the economy, which means each level of the economy will be making more money, because there is more money in the economy, and means more money for taxes or more money to invest in their business or in other businesses.
Since deductions are eliminated, always give a refund to the bottom 10 percentile unless it shows a growth in the over all salaries, and people can get along without a hand-up.
Government needs to get away from "helping" people and let people help themselves. All the donations made by the American people over the years to disasters all over the world shows Americans care for not only Americans but for all humanity. The American people can handle their own lives and all government does is screw up the economy with their "quick" fixes. Let the economy fix itself. The only thing the government should do is give advice to the general public on suggestions on how to fix the economy. Once the government sticks its nose in, the problem is almost always good for a short time, but since the problem got a quick fix, the economy did not change enough to
One thing about my writings since it was released in a different country, I think it was the movie "Wall Street" where the statement made the commercials, "GREED IS GOOD." But in my thoughts it is not about just money. Parents are sometimes greedy to get time with their children, or people like being free, so they are greedy about their free time, and therefore obey the laws so they have their free time.
From what you have read I want to say my strongest belief is the capitalist system is the best system so far ever created. The US Constitution is completely silent on government making money. Why is that? The early founders of this country were pissed off tax payers who did not want to pay taxes without representation. The money paid in taxes did not go to the government, but to the crown. All the colonies were doing was making the King richer, and they knew that.
Taxes should be used for the economy to produce a return and therefore begin reducing our need to collect more taxes until the return made by the government's investments pay for the budget. Let the businessmen deal with the economy, and society will correct the problems of society. The government is here to protect our citizens and encourage the general welfare of society.

My First 100 days...

During the transition time, contact the UN IAEA and ask them to get together a team of investigators for Iran. After my inauguration, I will summon the Swiss Ambassador to the White house. Well, I assume he will be in the audience, but right after the inauguration, we will go into the White House and I will ask him to contact Iran now because as soon as my meeting is over, I will call the IAEA and tell the person to send the investigators to Iran. To the Swiss Ambassador, I will lay the reason why the IAEA investigators are going there. We believe every country that wishes to use nuclear power for peaceful purposes should be allowed, and we will make sure all that want are allowed. The investigators are going there to help insure, and also perhaps give advice on making their operation better.

If the Iranians choose not to cooperate, then military action might be necessary to keep Iran in compliance with a treaty they are a member of, the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Health Care

Bring in members of the House committees of Science and Tec, Veterans' Affairs, Small Business. From the Senate I will bring in members of Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, Health, Education and Pensions, Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Veterans' Affairs, Indian Affairs, Special Committee on Aging.

US Infrastructure

The senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs , Commerce, Science, and Transportation
Energy and Natural Resources Environment and Public Works , In the house Committee on Appropriations Committee on Energy and Commerce, Committee on Small Business Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on Science and Technology.

Taxation and Budget

Since all of this will start in the house, and the senate always puts pork into the budget, the representatives from the Senate will be the President of the Senate John McCain, Appropriations, Budget,. Committee on Appropriations, Committee on the Budget, Committee on Small Business, Committee on Ways and Means, Joint Committee on Taxation, Joint Economic Committee.

From time to time action for the citizens of the US will be needed. The current way of their partisan bickering only moves them round and around and they never accomplish anything, or if they send it out, it is watered down so much, what they did was more of problem than if they did nothing at all.

In these meetings all of us will set down, and brain storm and before we leave, we will have the answers we will support. It will be a truly bi-partisan meeting. When it gets to the floors of the respective houses, a few changes might be proposed, but all in all. The idea of what needs to be accomplished will be accomplished and for what they were elected to do, To Serve the American People.
As the Rush song goes something like this, "If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice." That is exactly what Congress has been doing for a number of years, passing the buck and the buck goes around and around. Well, as President Harry S for nothing Truman would say, the buck stops here. The members of congress and senate have never wanted to make hard choices because they want to be comfortable in their jobs. Well, they were elected to do what is best for their constituents. In my opinion, they are delegates for about 90% of their job when in DC. The 10% of their job when in DC are acting as a trustee and that is stretching it. When they are back home in their district they are acting as 100% Representative learning how their constituents live, helping their constituents by using their house staff and doing what needs to be done to help non-profit groups raise money to take some of the burden away from the government.

Free Trade-Fair Trade-Equitable Trade

The next thing is prepare for the withdrawal of the World Trade Organization (WTO). I have explained this more than once about giving a solution to NOW because in 8 months the NOW will be different. What is proposed for the NOW today, might not be effective for the next NOW in 8 months, it might even exacerbate the problem.

In my opinion, for the last 40 years the United States has been the driving force of the global economy. We went from a creditor nation to a debtor nation during the 70's. The reason for trade, as all economics teachings has always used this fictitious example or one similar.

Great Britain raises sheep and makes great quality sweaters.
France have a great grape supply and makes great quality wines.
The wine made in Britain is bitter; the wool in France is of poor quality for sweaters. So to overcome this, Britain sells sweaters to France, and France sells wine to Britain. All are happier.
Free trade is not always fair trade, especially when price is your rationale and not quality.
Withdraw the US from the World Trade Organization, WTO. Honor all agreements we have already negotiated. Everyone else, pay a 10% fee on exporting their goods to the US. Each International company must have 10% of the value of the estimated annual taxes that should be collected. If the company falls below the 10%, then their goods remain aboard the ship, or kept in holding at a US airport until the 10% floor is met, then the goods will be unloaded into the US. The reason to put the burden on the international supplier is we should not harm the US consumer by allowing cheap products come in, and force the US consumer to pay more directly on the importation of these goods. Let the international company pay for the importation and if they do not want to pay for their goods to be sold in the US, then they can keep them in their country, but they will be more than willing to pay to have their products imported into the US.
Now China is a completely different story. The Yuan is not freely traded. All Chinese goods should be prohibited from being traded in the US until they free up their currency. I used to date a woman from Hong Kong who was in the School of Business at Indiana University. I told Tsui Tsan Tsan almost exactly what I am proposing here. She told me there are too many goods in the US made in China. That was in '99-'01. Since that time the US has had a larger proliferation of Chinese goods imported into the US. Not just finished goods, but also unfinished goods to be finished here in the US. The burden on finding domestic suppliers to replace the Chinese suppliers will cause a small bump in prices in the short run, but because more Americans are put back to working more, the overall economy will grow drastically.
The greatest lesson here is FREE TRADE is NOT FREE. The overall benefit of cheaper goods is loss of manufacturing jobs. THE MAIN IDEA IS BUY AMERICAN AND SUPPORT AMERICANS!!!

The Best Reason Why Charles R. Newman is Your President
Unlike the others, Mr. Newman is a real human being. His word is his bond. If he promises something, he will live up to his promises. He is an American engineer, not an American politician. As you have read this, you are starting to feel good, and in his presidency, good feelings are what will happen to everybody not only in the US, but also in the US dealing with the world.

John McCain may have a lead in delegate numbers, but because I am entering so late and running on a shoestring budget, when the Republicans Delegates meet, they can choose to elect someone else if they believe the best for America would be another candidate. I am the best thing for the American People, and Senator McCain has been part of the problem since the 1980's and I am asking him to come on board and be part of the solution.

Mr. Newman wants and needs to hear from you. He does not only tolerate dissent, but encourages it. He does not want a yes man always following him around. He wants someone or others that will test what he is saying and push him into thinking to make the best decision.

You can contact him at crnewman@charlesrnewmanuspresident.com and he will personally answer your question, and post it on his site at CharlesRNewmanUSPresident.COM if it is an original thought never discussed on the site.
