CNN producer note
What a cake! TeenaG is a mathemetician by day and adventurous chef by night. She told me cooking is her way of relaxing, and "it has the added benefit that it can be enjoyed by my loved ones. It brings me a lot of pleasure both to cook and to feed people!" Thanks, Teena, for sharing your very sweet story!

I have not made just one recipe from Gourmet Magazine, but rather 1035 of them! I am cooking my way through the Gourmet Cookbook, a book of recipes compiled from the best of Gourmet Magazine. I started this project almost four years ago, and have been steadily cooking and blogging about Gourmet recipes ever since! My blog is here: http://thegourmetproject.blogspot.com/
The recipe shown above I made for my husband on his birthday the first year we were dating. It is from the May 2002 issue of Gourmet Magazine, or page 752 of the Gourmet Cookbook. It was a light and fluffy cheescake with a tart key lime flavor and beautiful mango ribbons on top!

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
