Climbing the Pyramids
October 15, 2009 | paris, France | Vetting explained
Paris, The Louvre Museum..I.M. Pei's Pyramids...
For various reasons the glass pyramids, center-court in the Louvre are very controversial...personally I love 'em...
Two weeks ago I made the "mistake" along with many others, of visiting the museum on a Tuesday...remember this..!!
the Louvre is closed every Tuesday..!!.
Well, what I thought was a "mistake" enabled me to see an event which to me equalled anything inside the fabulous museum...Every three weeks, and always on a Tuesday and Wednesday, these two men show up in a van and run a remote- controlled caterpillar//spider-
like machine up and down the sides of the pyramid...defying gravity and creating quite the show.......
So,... try and time your visit to Paris so you get to see action that is not mentioned in any of the tourist guides....the "Climbing of the Pyramids."...
and keep an eye out for the iReporter with a shaggy old, but still "scrappie" WestHighland terrier....we'll most likely be there.
catch the "action" on #5...

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
