Liberals vs Conservatives
October 17, 2009 | Jersey Shore, New Jersey | Vetting explained
There seems to be a great divide these days between liberals and conservatives in this country. Liberals want to blame conservatives for all the problems of today. Conservatives want to blame liberals for all the problems of today. There could be nothing further from the truth.
I am a middle of the road liberal, I guess, and I just think that nothing in the liberal or conservative philosophies have anything in their agendas that has the specific design of causing harm to this this nation or any segment thereof. My desire to see green technologies, low cost housing, or increased access to medical care has absolutely nothing in common with anyone's desire to see the downfall of American society nor will that thinking bring this country down. And neither will the conservative train of thought bring this country to its knees. In fact, finding a happy medium between the two camps is probably the most reasonable solution to keeping this country afloat economically and socially.
I tend to believe that liberalism and conservatism are flip sides of the same coin and each train of thought has the best interests of this country at heart. The only thing that can truly tear this country apart is that liberals and conservatives become so galvanized in their positions that they cause no implementation of any ideas. The idea that liberals and conservatives spend all their time pointing their fingers at each other is the biggest threat to our nation's security.
