Actor-singer Tyrese Gibson was in Chicago on Saturday (Oct. 17) for the Men's Health Urbanathlon and Festival in the city's Grant Park.

The event is in its fourth year, but has only been held in Chicago for the past three. The Windy City was the sole location this year, but New York has served as a joint site since the event began in 2006.

Men's Health Senior VP and Publisher Jack Essig talked about the magazine's mantra, "Work Hard, Play Hard" being exhibited by those who braved the cold temps.

The proceeds benefited the Challenged Athletes Foundation, which was represented by community outreach and administrative assistant Travis Ricks.

Ricks shared how the event helps those with a physical challenge to feel like any other athlete.

Chicago's own John Hall, a well-known personal trainer with experience in pharmacy and fitness, agreed that Travis could be just as great even with some limitations.

Dave Henderson was the event's solo male winner, finishing his part in less than 70 minutes.
