CNN I-Report Where The Wild Things Are Movie Review

Where The Wild Things Are is the latest film directed by Spike Jonze That featured the vocal talents of James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano), Forest Whitaker, and several other talents.

The Story is about a boy who feels neglected and after a fight with his mom he runs away into a world of fantasy and adventure a place Where The Wild Things Are.

Now If You read or experienced this 1963 children's picture book by American writer Maurice Sendakthen you more than likely are going to enjoy this film....If not then you can more than likely prepare to sleep for 101 minutes.  Most of the adults at the Theather I was in (and there where 499 of us there) were having a hard time staying awake or were in fact sleep. The Kids under 4 were crying because some scenes were too intense for them. Several parents and 4 & unders left the film during play.

The 8 - 12 range seemed to enjoy it regardless of how the adults around them felt.

My wife says "it's the perfect sleep aid". she felt the film was a cute idea but neither of plan to see this film again.

Film Grade: C
