Pumpkins Sail NYC Central Park
October 26, 2009 | New York, New York | Vetting explained
If you happened to be in Central Park on Sunday, and had an already carved and decorated pumpkin, all you had to do was register it to see it take to the water along with the rest of the fleet of jack-o-lanterns captained by a wizard.
The event, part of the Halloween in Central Park celebration, took place by the Harlem Meer in the north section of the park in New York City, home of the World Series-bound Yankees!
Here are some pics I took Sunday, October 25, 2009.
Be advised: jack-o-lanterns will not be returned after the sail.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
