Post asks why it is that we have become so cynical to think that the case in NY may be another hoax. This is not based on any news coverage, it's based on the culture of suspicion in America now. I don't know if it's good or bad but the first person we suspect nowadays in a wife's murder is the husband and the same in reverse. That was not the case 15-20 years ago. Lastly, how does the media cover a story like this in the shadow of the balloon hoax? Won't we condemn the media for covering this if it was indeed a hoax? What do you think?
