I attended the California Women's Conference, Night at the Village on Monday, October 26th. The conference hosted by First Lady Maria Shriver was sold out to a crowd of 10,000 people. The Long Beach Convention Center was packed full of women and yes even a few men.
Stephanie Quayle was asked personally by Maria Shriver to open up the conference on the main stage. She is a recording artist with a new album "Ain't No Housewife," which is set to release on Tuesday, October 27th on iTunes. She was just a attendee last year, but she says that being a participant is a whole different thing.
She has graciously given me and CNN permission to use her new song, which I have put together in a montage of video and images from the conference.
In order of appearance:
Stephanie Quayle
Stephanie Quayle and her band and manager Kyle Schember
Maria Elena Salinas, Anchor, Noticiero Univision
Maria Shriver
Jillian Michaels
Book Signing Crowd
Melissa Fazli with her bff Marina Mikoultchik
Melissa Fazli meeting Jillian Michaels
Maria Shriver
Maria Shriver and Caroline Kennedy
Events of the Heart, featuring celebrity guests
A ton of free products I got in my pink goody bag
My new Coach Sunglasses that I bought at the Kaiser Permanente booth
Kenny G rocking out to this song by Stephanie Quayle
This event was a lot of fun and I can't wait until next years. Maria Shriver puts on one heck of an event.
