Jillian Michaels at the Women's Conference
October 27, 2009 | Long Beach, California | Vetting explained
Maria Shriver introduced my mentor Jillian Michaels at the Women's Conference at the Long Beach Convention Center in California.
Jillian talks about breaking all the rules and living by your own emotions as an architect of change.
Afterwards, I waited in line for 1 1/2 hours to meet her personally. Her line was one of the longest. I think her and Paula Deen were just about tied. Her line was also the slowest because she loves to talk and take pictures, while other authors were just signing along. It was well worth the wait to meet the woman that I so adore.
My friend Marina Mikoultchik can be seen in the previous photo and she also shot the video of Jillian and I together.
Night at the Village was the best night of my life! Thank you to Maria Shriver for putting on a fabulous event!

The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
