EXPLOSIVE EVIDENCE IN 9-11 DUST
October 30, 2009 | New York City, New York | Vetting explained
Nano-thermite ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nano-thermite ) is an extremely high-technology explosive material.
The information presented below is summarized from the Abstract for the article, entitled “Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe”, which may be found at http://www.bentham-open.org/pages/content.php?TOCPJ/2009/00000002/00000001/7TOCPJ.SGM . Authors include the Department of Chemistry, University of Copenhagen, Denmark; Department of Physics and Astronomy, Brigham Young University, Provo, UT; and others.
The article, published in the Bentham Open Chemical Physics Journal (2009, 2, 7-31), presents research on distinctive red/gray chips discovered within dust produced by destruction of the world Trade Center on 9-11-01. These red/gray chips show marked similarities in all four samples. One of the samples was collected by a Manhattan resident about ten minutes after the collapse of the second WTC Tower, two the next day, and a fourth about a week later. The properties of these chips were analyzed using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy (XEDS), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The red material contains grains approximately 100 nm across which are largely iron oxide, while aluminum is contained the tiny plate-like structures. Separation of components using MEK demonstrated that elemental aluminum is present. The iron oxide and aluminum are intimately mixed in the red material. When ignited in a DSC device the chips exhibit large but narrow exotherms occurring at approximately 430 degrees C, far below the normal ignition temperature for conventional thermite. Numerous iron-rich spheres are clearly observed in the residue following the ignition of these peculiar red/gray chips. The red portion of these chips is found to be an unreacted thermitic material and highly energetic.
This publication contains high-resolution SEM images of the material, which was carefully analyzed. Based upon documented observations, the material was determined to be active, unreacted thermitic material incorporating nanotechnology, and is a highly energetic pyrotechnic or explosive material (i.e. nano-thermite). Numerous iron-rich spheres are observed consistently. . MOST CITIZENS ARE UNAWARE that a THIRD BUILDING...a 47-story skyscraper collapsed at freefall speed at approximately 5:20 on 9-11. Here is a 6-minute clip from an Italian documentary… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58h0LjdMry0 . NIST only recently completed their investigation of WTC-7, and concluded that fire, alone, caused the freefall collapse (not scientifically defensible). Many experts strongly disagree, and have questioned them about their limited work scope (and their refusal to consider explosive demolition material as a hypothesis).

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
