We will miss you Mr. Russert!
June 13, 2008 | Denver, Colorado | Vetting explained
I am in a state of shock and disbelief. I can't believe Tim Russert is gone, this is such a tragedy! For me, Tim was such an amazing insight to politics today. I looked to him for the truth amidst this in your face media. He asked the hard questions, he never backed down and he brought us into his head. I have such a passion for politics and I think he is part of the reason. I knew that when I watched him every Sunday or saw him on the Today Show or the Nightly News, he would not only have such keen insight, but you could feel his passion and love for politics and this country just jump through the screen. I know who my candidate is, but this election will not be anywhere close to what it should be without him. He is such an integral part of American politics and he deserved to be a part of such a historic year for this country.
My heart goes out to his family and friends. Please know that while his life was cut short, he made such an amazing impact on us all in the little time we had with him. There is no replacing you Tim, you will be missed so very much!
