Extreme BBQ
November 2, 2009 | Sayville, New York | Vetting explained
Last weekend, Smoke In Da Eye Competition BBQ team cooked up some brisket, pork shoulder, ribs and chicken in the middle of a crazy storm at the third annual Battle of the BBQ Brethren held in Sayville, NY.
And despite losing power and cooking by flashlight, I still managed to still take 3rd place out of almost 50 teams. For more on the world of competition BBQ, visit http://www.smokeindaeye.com.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
