11/02/09 Full Moon over Pensacola, Florida
November 2, 2009 | pensacola, Florida | Vetting explained
Bigger and brighter than I can remember it, the full moon, 11/02/09 at 7pm central time. I am always amazed the we can see another celestial body in the night sky with the naked eye. But with a digital camera, zoom lens, tripod and a computer, I am even more impressed with the images of the moon. It's hard to realize the extremes of space, such as at the surface of the moon, temps vary from -387 degrees F.at night, to 253 degrees F. during the day. Glad to be right here on the surface of Earth.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
