iReport Corrupts Adobe Product Settings
November 3, 2009 | Miami, Florida | Vetting explained
iReport corrupts Adobe product settings:
For the last 3 days I've been investigating why my Adobe product settings get corrupted after copy and paste functions occur on iReport.com.
These include copy and pasting screen shots, embedded coding, and copying video to files, among other things.
One example, of many, would be to view an image someone has posted on iReport and enlarge that image to full screen. If you copy and paste that image into, let's say photoshop, all the photoshop menu functions are then disabled, and the user only has access to the movement function of that menu.
Adobe products also Affected:
1. Adobe Contribute
2. Adobe Encore
3. Adobe Fireworks
4. Adobe Illustrator
5. Adobe LiveCycle Designer
6. Adobe Sound Booth
7. Adobe After Effects
8. Adobe Flash Professional
9. Adobe InDesign
10. Adobe Premiere Pro
I've retested this over 20 times now and am sure iReport.com settings within several 3rd party products, including Adobe themselves are the culprit.
Once the settings are corrupted, you will have to restart your computer to reset them.
Thought someone would like to know.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
