Eureka - I made it!!
November 3, 2009 | kandy, Sri Lanka | Vetting explained
Hi Marjaani I made the Chocolate Eclares early this morning.
Thank you so much for the receipe and all your trouble to let me know how to make it.
Althought it did not rise all that well , it was great I put butter icing for the filling and chocloate sauce on the top.
My oven is only up to 250 centig. may be the oven was not heated enough.
I used:
100 G. flour
100 G Marg
2 Eggs
1 cup water
Put marg and water to heat and once boiled in the middle take it off and pour in all the flour and mix well untill it leaves the sides of the pan.
Leave to cool, and then add the eggs till pipping consistency and pipe on a baking tray oiled with a little bit of oil or marg, and put into hot oven and bake for about 40 minutes or until golden brown
Then take it out and put on cooling rack, slit one side and put in the cream filling, and top with chocolate sauce.
