My Son Learns to Vote In NNY's 23RD District's Congressional Race
November 3, 2009 | Watertown, New York | Vetting explained
CNN producer note
Liberty1955 has been commented for this election in his district, New York's 23rd. His final thoughts were that Scozzafava probably could have won his district. He thinks conservatives tried putting Hoffman through as a test for other districts.

Children need to know what's involved in voting. David, my son, was asking me who I was going to vote for for Congressman- Owens or Hoffman.
He's 12 years old. They hear me talk about politics so I thought tonight would be a good time for him to see first hand how we do this.
I took him to my polling location and filmed the event. His choice for Congressman was Owens.
You see him give the "thumbs up" when he sees my choice.
Hope this helps, Bill.
David put the ballot in the electronic polling machine. This is the first year that we've used them. Last year was the levers, curtain and some privacy to make your decision.
David thought the process was pretty cool!

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
