Oscar the Grouch Goes Rogue
November 5, 2009 | North Coast, California | Vetting explained
It's Sesame Street's 40th Anniversary. Wow, I can't believe it's been that long! My daughter just loved all the characters, and she, her Dad and I especially loved the "Muppet Show."
But what is going on? It seems Oscar the Grouch has gone "rogue." On one of the recent shows where Oscar tries to break out as a news reporter, he was rebuffed by a disgruntled viewer who said,
"From now on I am watching 'Pox' News. Now there is a trashy news show."
This has apparently upset some Conservative bloggers for infusing leftist ideas into chldren's programming. Come on gang. Oscar was reporting from "GNN," Grouchy Network News.
It was all in good fun, not like the Teletubbies, who, according to Jerry Falwell, were promoting the "homosexual agenda."

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
